Setting the Pace in Houston’s Orthopedic Community, Dr. Jafarnia Brings Innovation and Patient Compassion to One of the Area’s Fastest Growing Medical Facilities
HOUSTON – Having trained under some of the best orthopedic specialists in the United States, Dr. Korsh Jafarnia is fast becoming the physician to whom patients and the medical community turn for the latest in orthopedic advances. He is now one of the youngest Chiefs of Staff at a leading medical facility.
Rapidly growing Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital recently named Dr. Jafarnia to Chief of Staff of its Northwest Houston facility. Dr. Jafarnia is also a member of the Houston Methodist Medical Executive Committee and former chairman of the Surgery Department.
Specializing in hand and upper extremity injuries and conditions at KSF Orthopaedic Center in Houston for over seven years, today Dr. Jafarnia is the vice president of the KSF Orthopaedic Surgery Center and continues to add new procedures to the center’s list of treatment options.

Dr. Jafarnia has worked with Houston’s top hand, wrist and elbow specialists at Baylor College of Medicine, where he received the Teaching Excellence, the Bronze Hammer and the Leonard Marmor Surgical Arthritis Foundation Awards. He is currently a clinical assistant professor at Baylor.
Dr. Jafarnia studied advanced techniques and new approaches to hand surgery at the French Institute for Surgery of the Hand in Paris and completed a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital at Harvard Medical School.
His experience and unique perspective provides both pediatric and adult patients with the latest treatment options available for some of the most common as well as challenging hand and upper extremity injuries and conditions seen today – from childhood fractures and carpal tunnel syndrome, to basilar joint arthritis and other degenerative joint conditions.
Dr. Jafarnia is a member of the Ethics Committee at Houston Northwest Medical Center and the Medical Executive Committee at TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital. He is a volunteer staff member at the Shriners Hospitals for Children™.
A fellow of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Jafarnia is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery (CAQ).
